Ah the first review ever on this blog. Lets get crackin eh?

Death Note is about a student named Light Yagami. who finds a notebook known as the Death Note (which can kill people) and how due to this he will be locked in a battle of minds with a man who only is known as L. In order to become a God and in a way justice in human form.

Trust me I am making it sound stupid. I quite like this plot but you have to watch it to understand

In this episode Light gets the Death Note (Duh) which was dropped by a Shingami (God of Death or Grim Reaper) named Ryuk. One of the best in the series in my view hes a very comic and jokey (but creepy and dark) member of the cast. Plus he only eat apples how can you not like a demon who only eats apples?

Light goes insane with the power of the notebook and wants to become a god and get rid of crime forever. That in basic is the first episode however the series will seem when you watch it somewhat twisted. If I had only seen the first episode I would have thought it was quite bad. But give the series a chance. See the first 7 at least yes that seems alot but trust me thats when things get going.

I have read the manga first and seen all the anime and I loved both but I would give that a shot too. It does the 2nd arc better than the anime.

Overall:

A decent episode but its kinda odd if you get my meaning.
